Bio
Dr. Maayan Davidovitz is a postdoctoral research fellow at the School of Education, the Lester and Sally Entin Faculty of Humanities at Tel Aviv University. From April 2022 to October 2023, she was a postdoctoral fellow at the Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University.
Dr. Davidovitz is a public administration and public policy scholar whose research lies at the intersection of public administration, education policy, and social policy. Her work examines the relationships between public servants and citizens, and how these interactions shape the broader dynamics between the state and society. She received her Ph.D. in Public Administration and Policy from the University of Haifa in 2021.
Her research interests include policy implementation, street-level bureaucracy, representative bureaucracy, trust in public administration, and educational policy.
Dr. Davidovitz is the co-author of the forthcoming book Trust at the Ground Level of Government: Its Role in the Work of Street-Level Bureaucrats (with Nissim Cohen), to be published by State University of New York (SUNY) Press.
Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Public Management Review, Public Administration Review, Public Administration, Regulation & Governance, The American Review of Public Administration, and Management in Education.
